Per token or per GPU-hour? Choose the billing model that fits your traffic
Spiky, low-volume traffic favours per-token plans. Steady, high-volume traffic often doesn't.
Per-token plans charge only for what you use, which is ideal while traffic is small or unpredictable.
Per-GPU-hour plans charge for capacity whether you use it or not, but the unit cost falls sharply once a GPU is kept busy.
A rule of thumb
Estimate your monthly tokens, price them on a serverless plan, then compare with the hourly cost of the GPUs you would need. Revisit the sum as traffic grows.
